The Colorado Fallen Firefighter’s Foundation provides resources to not only families, but fire departments. Some of the resources available to families are legal assistance, grief counseling, physiological support, education/courses, financial planning and much more. Resources available to Fire Departments include standard operating procedures for a line-of-duty death, recommended steps to take with all online personnel and their families before a LODD occurs and sample documents used by other Colorado departments.
